First and foremost, I am an advocate and an education law attorney, not a litigator. That said — I won't hesitate to provide my clients with referrals to litigators who focus on education-related disputes whenever that's required to protect their interests.

I would also like to emphasize that the work I do is not geared toward any one perspective or type of client. I do not only represent the church or board members or administrators or principals or teachers or parents or children. I do my best for whomever I represent and I try to do what's right.

Kentucky

As a lawyer, I am admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts of Kentucky and can provide legal advice, representation and services to clients throughout the state. Although much of this is private sector work, I can and do provide legal services for matters that involve public schools as well.

Nationwide

On a national basis, my education law practice is geared more toward providing legal information and consulting advice to school administrators and officials, and to providing co-counsel support and expert witness services for plaintiffs and defendants.

Educational Services

In addition to my work as an attorney, as a consultant and as an advocate — I offer a number of more education-oriented services as well. Over the course of my career, I have authored or co-authored over two dozen books, have contributed chapters to several other books, and have published well over 100 articles on education law topics ranging from disability discrimination and child abuse to school and administrative policy formation.

I am also available to speak, give seminars and make presentations on education law topics to groups, institutions, and organizations of all shapes and sizes, anywhere in the United States.

Expert Witness Services

I serve as an expert witness on education-related issues for both plaintiffs and defendants in U.S. state and federal courts.
