A Unique Perspective on Education Law
For the most part, education law is practiced by lawyers with little or no real-world experience working inside actual institutions of learning. There's nothing necessarily wrong with that. It just is what it is.
As an attorney, I have something different, something unique and valuable to offer.
"What is that?" you might ask. Simply put, I have well over 30 years of experience as an educator, a Catholic school principal and an administrator, and have taught at levels of the education system ranging from kindergarten to graduate school. As a result, I've come to understand educational institutions and systems from a full range of perspectives. This background has earned me a national reputation in the field of education law but, more importantly, has consistently yielded positive results for my clients.
In my practice, I offer legal advice and representation throughout Kentucky to principals, school administrators, superintendents, board members, church officials, parents and others who have concerns or legal needs involving education in both the public and private sectors. I am not a litigator, but do handle mediations regularly.
Nationally, I provide consulting services, administrative coaching, co-counsel support and expert witness testimony. I welcome opportunities to speak or give seminars on education law topics to groups large and small, anywhere in the United States.
